Easy Homemade Cheese Danish
What’sbetter than the smell of freshly baked Danish? I am a huge fan of thisamazingly delicious cheese Danish. They are unbelievably tasty, and finallyhere is a simple step by step recipe.

- 2 sheets. Defrosted puff pastry (1 box)
- 1 Egg yolk At room temperature
- ½ cup Sugar
- 8 Oz. Cream cheese At room temperature
- 1 tsp. Pure vanilla extract
Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle measuring 30 cm by 10cm and then cut the sheets into 12 squares.
Place the squares on a tray line of parchment paper, and separate each square with a square-shaped parchment paper. Keep them refrigerated as you prepare the cream cheese filling.
3. In a small bowl, mix the egg yolk, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and sugar until the mixture is soft and creamy.
4. Place a spoonful of the mixture on each square and pinch closed.
5. In a small mixing bowl, prepare your egg wash by beating one egg and mixing it with 2 tablespoons of water. Use a pastry brush to coat the pastry before baking.
6. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and bake your cheese Danish for 15 minutes. Check for an attractive golden brown color.
Let it cool then sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
